FPM Training, in collaboration with the Fire Service College, has developed two programmes to meet the needs of the Fire and Rescue Services' national Strategy for Children and Young People 2006-2010.
Safeguarding Children and Young People is an e-learning module designed to ensure all Fire and Rescue staff are provided with relevant information in a simple, straightforward way to enable them to comply with current safeguarding policies and procedures.
Effective Work with Young People equips participants with the basic skills and knowledge necessary to work safely and effectively with young people. The programme enables services to fully implement the Fire and Rescue Service’s Strategy for Children and Young People 2006-10 and comply with the Children Act 2004 and Every Child Matters.
Effective Work with Young People was due to be delivered residentially at the Fire Service College’s Moreton-in-Marsh base on 6th and 7th July 2010, but has
now unfortunately been postponed until further notice.
For more information on the programme please see the brochure on the right.
Please also note that this course is also able to be delivered in-house specifically for your organisation - if this is of interest please contact us on 0116 249 5000.
These programmes are the only one of their kind in the UK, completely tailored to the needs of Fire and Rescue personnel.
